Peter Mills and Cara Reichel are artistic collaborators and founding members of New York City's critically-acclaimed Prospect Musicals, a professional organization that has developed and produced original musical theater works for over 25 years.

 

Pete is an award-winning composer-lyricist, and an experienced educator, teaching graduate courses in writing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and serving as the writing mentor and music director for the Princeton University Triangle Club for over a decade.
 

Cara is a theater director, writer, producer, and a published author and illustrator.  She has worked with numerous universities as an educator and teaching artist.  She is a leading force in bringing to life new music-theater works in New York City. 

 

Together, they have created over a dozen new musicals, taught for Princeton University's Lewis Center for the Arts and Princeton's Global Seminar Program, and offered master classes for the American Theatre Wing.

 

Peter and Cara first visited Gesualdo, Italy in 2015 to research the history and music of Carlo Gesualdo, and they are honored to be partnering with the community to create Nuova Musica Nuova Città as a summer opportunity for international artists, students, and patrons of the arts.
